Dear Gentle Man Poem by Abdullahi Inuwa

Dear Gentle Man

Dear gentle man, should I admonish you?
The man who gave you his daughter-
Is also your father, do you get my point?
The mother of your wife is like your mother,

Do you accept that? Tell me now!
The parents of your wife are your parents,
Before they gave you their daughter-
Were you not a beggar?

Dear gentle man, handle your wife like a diamond,
Your wife deserves your attention, do you agree?
Your wife is a precious stone, do you agree?
The cure of your sorrow, the sorrow of your heart-

The power house of your soul, try to be caring.
Your wife is a star, so forget about the prostitutes.
Dear gentleman, don't beat-up your wife, she is fragile.
Beating up your wife will not make you a hero, only a coward.

Don't forget, someone will treat your daughter the-
Way you treat your wife, so don't be a wicked.
Love your wife the way you love yourself,
Don't be like a green snake in the green grass.
