Dear God, Poem by Lithe Roman

Dear God,

Rating: 5.0

spoken: daddy stop!
daddy dont you love me anymore?
*the sound of a belt meeting flesh*
*whimpers and door slams shut*

dear god,
why does daddy treat me so?
why do u never help?
what did i do that was so wrong?

oh please all i ask for is a moment of love!
dear god!
cant you just grant me this one wish?
someone notice the pain i take in quietly!

spoken: stop crying! get up! u disgust me! go to bed*drunk and mean*
*sniffles*im sorry
oh teddy what am i going to do! *exasperated and tears in voice*

dear god,
what have i ever done?
so unfair are my tears
what am i going to do?

will u never help?
am i destined to cry myself to sleep every night?
do u not realize how much im hurting?
are u so blind to the pain?

*womens voice speaking in a soft motherly tone*
spoken: come child im here to protect you
come pray with me.
'Now I lay me down to sleep.
Pray the Lord my soul to keep.
Dear Lord, protect me through the night,
wake me with the morning light.
And if I die before I wake, I pray my soul the lords to take'

dear god,
thanks for saving me.
i hope daddy doesnt get in to much trouble
amen......
