Dear God Poem by Kaitlyn Rae

Dear God

Everything you say,
Is used against you in different ways
So don't move, Don't let loose, don't shoot me, make me use this noose
-And so girls and boys, pay attention to this lesson,
Cause there's something you're forgetting.
You will never get heaven, & we are not forsaken.
Some are 'blessed', while we're a mess.
We were forced to leave our nest,
So in our lives God please invest,
All we want is to progress.

Just look at us,
This cause is lost,
This world is feels like a holocaust-
All of our lives are being tossed;
Are you real, well no one knows;
It's you or us, yet it's we choose.
What will we lose?
We've lost enough,
You've got this world in rebuff,
This world is rough,
What will we do?
Only some find hope in you,
We are trapped,
and without an antidote, we'll relapse,
And for sure we will collapse.
But perhaps,
If we could see,
If you gave proof for there to be,
Something greater, something better,
Then Dear God, this is my letter;

We all sin, and some of us feel the guilt rising up inside our own skin.
No one else knows where we've been,
Only you, you see, this is hard for us to believe
What before we couldn't see.
If you're so powerful, why can't we just smile?
All these praying people, they almost look senile-
Well I guess now we know it's worth all the while..
And all the pain we feel,
Some say it isn't real,
that it's only a state of mind,
Why did this have to be the way that we're designed?
Stone cold hearts in some,
While others are just plain dumb-
And it's always the wrong ones who've won.
What have you done?
This world has been overrun-
Should we stay, or should we book it and run?
