Dear Jane Poem by Saiom Shriver

Dear Jane

When soldiers receive news
from home saying their
wives or girlfriends have
found another, these missives
are called Dear John letters.
But many soldiers don't
write home Dear Jane
or Jean or Joan letters
that they've found
a camp follower
or a mistress.
Wars destroy
relationships.
