Dear Ocean Poem by Fiona Schwartzinoff

Dear Ocean

Rating: 3.0

I love you.

And I am writing this letter to you
because of
this:

I love the way you give.
And the way
you
take.

I love you for your fierce
darkness
And for your golden
glory.

I love the poetry of your bubbles.
And the symphony
of your waves.

I love the colors of your kingdom.
And the beauty
in your mystery.

I love the way you make man seem
So
Small.

I revel in the life that springs up
from you.

I can breathe
In
Your stillness.

Whether in calm
Or storm,

I can hear you
Whisper the meaning
Of
My soul.

I can see
My heart
In
Your reflection.

Dear Ocean…

The reason why I
Truly
Love you
Is…

When I’m in
Your arms…

I’m
Home.

And in the depths
of your waters,

I feel the glory
Of
God.

Dear Ocean…

I love you.
