Dear One Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Dear One

To you dear one
whose look is sweet
but eyes are sweeter far
then those unpainted lips
in their full beauty
sweetness increase;
your cheeks if else be
beauty's shrine
your cheeks of beauty
are a temple great
and your sweet manners
these beauties preside
as on a queen a crown
Ah! my diadem! you cost
less being willing than
the costliest;
but being coy at times
you will cost infinite
