Dear Son! Poem by Rimni chakravarty

Dear Son!

I am not your biological mother
So there is no naval bonding between us
As the umbilical cord was of no use
But there is always a radar
That connect us
why then i worry of you so much?
When the bulb of your face gets fuse!

Dear Tutun, you are my son
Who i believe will be the shooting sun
That brighten the earth
please feel proud of your birth,
i am not your mother, but your ex teacher
Who always want you smile
As your innocent looks cheer up my life
Your naughtiness remind me of my yesterday
When my life seemed to be bright and gay
I hope you will make your parents proud
Before I cover up in the shroud
God bless you my child
And enjoy with the meek and the wild
Dear Son! You will always be the apple of my eyes
Who I wish will win the prize
of being the best painter and sculptor
Our country has produced so far.
