momma,
im sorry.
you know i never meant to hurt you,
but im still in love with that boy.
momma,
please understand im so sorry,
but i dont think i can let him go.
im in love with that boy.

starin at your picture,
my vision is blurred.
my eyes are filling with tears with every word.
theyre tryin to tell me that im just a kid,
and that i cant be in love -
i dont know what it is.
they keep trying to convince me to leave you.

please have more faith in me.
you didnt raise a fool.
im gonna stay by his side though we know you dont want me to.
so this poem reads,

and i know she thinks im young and naive,
dont know whats good for me.
'think of your future' she says with tears in her eyes.
dont throw your dreams away by loving some boy.
but i think without you,
i would be throwing everything away.
so i guess im always just gonna love 'some guy'
