Death Poem by Minerva Agriam

Death

Everyone may see you as pain,
Anyone may abhor, shun & hate you.

Here by the earth's side you dwell,
Here by our humanity you live.

Oh, death, our death.
You shall come uninvited or waited.

Why must one be afraid of you when
You are beautiful if you're fully understood?

You seem like the great tyrant thief,
Coming so swiftly without beckoning.

Sometimes you come so very slow
Eating you're victim by the millionth pieces.

Death of the ocean, death of birds,
Human beings are never your friends.
