Death Poem by Asekho Toto

Death

Do I have to blame death?

Do I have to defy death?

Some things are meant to happen

Even though

They break our hearts.

We can't blame death

But who can we blame

God

Or mother nature

I don't know yet.

Death comes in many ways

Then tell me who's next in line

Is it my mother?

Is it my aunt?

Is it my grandma?

Or is it my entire family?

Mother nature is a serial killer

That kills in front of people.

We can't say

Satan is a killer

Because he only manipulates our minds

I pray to God

Not to take me now

Because there are things

I need to do

Before I perish in this world.
