Death - Poem by Adisa Oludare Enitan
‘O lame saint!
teller of good lies
giver of affections
lover without deceit
Unsullied beau
with shining teeth
like autumn's sun
An epitome of ruinous beauty
stealer of hopes and dreams
flawless servant
with inimitable loyalty
Oh your touch!
a passkey to yonder
desert of vast eternity
All conquering warrior
slave to fate
the dreadful enemy
who takes without asking
Unanticipated guest
le dernier cadeau
of all men
