Death Poem by Muzzafar Ahmad Magray

Death

DEATH
When that angel will descend on earth.
Who will tell Him, I have good deeds dearth.
Till then I will be Surrounded by dreams and aspiration.
He will capture my soul, sky will be crimson.
I will beg Him for hours stay.
Angel will carry my soul, body will be thrown away.
Soul will sour, questioning the body laying bare.
Bye bye my shield, hope I will meet you there.
I will look for relatives, friends and foes
Soul will whisper money, status, fame all in vain goes.
My carcass will be carried to the graveyard.
I will be migrated to the kingdom of Lord.
Laid to rest in the dark and peaceful grave.
O my loved ones, then you should act as brave.
Once you retreat, look back and see.
Be humane, good deeds hold the key.
