Death Poem by Joanne Lee (fkumc)

Death

a silent cry
fills the night
and on the ground
the victim lies
his soul departing
his eyes unfocused
their fire extinguished
the poor girl sits
by his side
her soul weeping
tears silently falling
her eyes unseeing
looking in another world
her hands shaking
painted with blood
a single knife lay
between them both
the cost of this death
is the girls tainted heart
