Death Poem by Qwerty Poems

Death

Death.
It's scary knowing your about to pass.
That all you've known will be left in the past.
You hope you will meet your God at last.
As you reminisce on the good times and the friendships you've had.

As death starts opening your door,
You say your goodbyes and wright your will.
You don't think your life is ready to be sealed.
But you cannot choose when death grabs your heel.

As the clock solemly tics.
Death sneaks in and tells you you have a few minutes left to live.
Your heart beats faster and faster as the time nears.
You just wish you had a few more days to live.

When death is close you accept your fate.
Your heart slows and your thoughts dissipate.
Your no longer afraid but in a peaceful state.
Your ready to die and leave this earthly place.
