Death: An Unavoidable Defeat Poem by Hebert Logerie

Death: An Unavoidable Defeat

'We come and we go, ' the saying goes.
Nobody, in their right mind, knows
The apocalyptic day: our last day
On this planet. We're not here to stay.

We are visiting, we are migrants.
Legal or illegal immigrants,
We are passing by right now.
Bow to no one. Listen, do not

Onal Ruster is passing by like you and me.
Death is as deadly as carbon dioxide.
Death cannot be stopped by high or trumpy
Walls or fences. Death is an elusive homicide.

Death is an unavoidable defeat for you and me.
Death comes to strike any time, day or night.
Let live, let leave and let die for eternity.
Nobody is wrong; nobody is right.

Human beings must come first.
Death is a deep bottomless hole.
No river can satisfy this thirst.
Live reasonably for the tireless soul.
