Death And Darkness Poem by Kay Brown

Death And Darkness

Rating: 4.0

The lane was dark
As she hiked through the night

She stopped when she saw the blood
Under it was the fallen girl

Then a howl tore against the night
As the hound burst into the street

Her scream echoed in the sky
As she fell with a bloodied cry

Her white clothes were red
With the stream of blood that flowed

And her eyes were wet
With the tears of death that flowed

The darkness closed in then
As she breathed her last

She was alone this time
With death and darkness for company
