Death And Other Shortcomings Poem by Alfred Ramos

Death And Other Shortcomings

When you die
Whether or not to go up to the sky
You have failed
Your mistakes can be neatly detailed
You did not live up to your dreams
You misplayed all of your schemes
When you die
You can’t use it as a lie
You have not performed up to par
And that didn’t get you very far
Your stay here was very misleading
For what you gave you will be receiving
When you die
You missed the point of trying to get by
You lose the choice to try again
Resurrection is not a game of pretend
Though we may meet again some day
Whether burning or laughing I cannot say
But it will be because we failed in the same way
