Death Can Never Be The Last Word Poem by Sudipta Bhattacharyya

Death Can Never Be The Last Word

We are nothing but sleeping angels
In the kingdom of Sleep.
Sleep is the another name of Death,
There is a beauty, serenity and tranquility
In Sleep, Sleep that makes us vigorous.

We are bounded by memories of love,
Death will not be able to conquer us.
We love each other, share each others
Sweet memories of joys and happiness.
Is Death so powerful to snatch away
Our indelible memories of love?

Death is nothing but unwavering
Hope of Resurrection and eternity,
Alas! It's a false hope for the mankind.
For Death can never be the last word.
Memories of love, affection, joys
Build golden castle upon the Cemetery
Of Death with the smiling faces
Of beautiful angels, sleeping beauties.
