Death Our Enemy For Daniel Mokwana! ! ! Poem by Jacques Sprenkie Mateya

Death Our Enemy For Daniel Mokwana! ! !

I woke up full of life, with joy all over me
Happiness infiltrating my life
Smile covering my ugly face
I thought I will go to bed, still containing the same feeling
But look now, I am shocked, sad and my soul is wondering

Today the sun came out grasping,
With grieves and mourning in its innocent hands
To scatter our joy into troubles and disbelieves

This soil that walk in, is insulted
When the death, unlock the doors
And steal his soul

At least the dawns could have alert us
And sun should have gave us signals
Of the death! ! ! that is coming to steal life out of him

Heaven knows and heaven sings,
Is on its feet to welcome! a new member
And the death rejoice at the cost of our happiness.

When there is death between us,
There are also tears in our eyes
Death is an enemy to us,
every day it steals life
and take one soul away.
