Death's Beckoning Song Poem by Tiff Murphy

Death's Beckoning Song

So alone is how I feel,
Try to hide it,
Afraid to let it show,
Like anyone would care,
When death is whispering in my ear,
So close that I can feel its touch,
Hiding in the shadows of my room,
In the back of my mind,
Never to be seen,
But I must face reality and move on,
Until it takes over,
Promises made,
Promises broken,
But life goes on,
But not for long,
Because I feel death coming on,
And it's too strong,
I can't fight it,
So I'll just give in,
And let death win,
While it sings me it's beckoning song.
