Death Series 1 - Life's Essence Poem by Ciaran Quirke

Death Series 1 - Life's Essence

Worry not, my son,
I shall be near,
Though fate permits
destiny to win.

No place, contains as many beauties,
or treasures it's people, as though they are dear,
nor is as gentle, like the tender caress of
an autumnal breeze, as this world.
Alas this world from which I shall retire,
Will still be harsh and oft be cruel.

But within, good may be found,
if so desired.
Live within this world in harmony, and,
to it's ways be true. Treat all
that it offers
with the kindest of natures, And so
respect, and love will be offered to you.

Fear not those, who wish ill will,
Who offer temptation, who tease desire,
Fear not the obstacles, the many trials,
All easily may be overcome, if,
You may pause for thought awhile.

But what of your time, it's definite end,
It is the essence of life.
To appreciate and to nurture it, shall, in time,
offer just rewards.

Fall not from your chosen path,
May that path be a path of good,
And may that path of good deliver
transcendence through the essence,
the essence divine.
