Deceived By A Chemist Poem by Richard Thornton

Deceived By A Chemist

A claim concieved in falsehood
And continued in deceit
Did you understand that the asseration
Would be the end of you and me?

So I sat with wood and words
Going over it again
Trying to tell how much it hurt
And drink the ink from my pen

Now sucide is on my mind
And I'm at the pharmacy
I point to what i believe the strongest pills
The chemist winks and hands them to me

These pills I bought i took too many
But somehow not enough
The medication was just rennies
And only hurt my guts

I will live be before it's too late
I promise myself that i will learn
Although certain that again my heart will break
But at least it will never burn
