December, Haikus Poem by Mark. A Heathcote

December, Haikus

December comes but-
once a year with Christmas trees
sleigh bells and reindeer
*

on Christmas Eve
all the animals can talk
last orders please!
*

there's nothing tender
about turkey - it's a dry
old bird - hasn't you heard
*

this month boasts tales of
meteorites and mistletoe
ah, ancient rituals
