Decide The Fate Poem by Kathryn Kubacki

Decide The Fate

People cry
They sob
When the pain
Becomes too much

People laugh
They cheer
In their emotion
They become insane

Crazed eyes
From caring too much
Locked away
Danger

Only wanted a hug
Didn't mean
For it to go that far
It just happened

No one ever means
To do the wrong
To hurt
No one ever tries

Who cares if it was an accident?
Still a crime
Still brings pain
Still brings sadness

People cry
They sob
When pain
Becomes too much

They laugh
Insane
Dangerous thoughts
Can't be reversed

What's done is done
No amount of sorry
Can right the wrong
It has been sealed

Fate decided
By kindness
Or by knife
The people have the power

Of life
Of death
One action, one word
Can change the fate
