Decision Poem by Michelle Dragonfly

Decision

If I'm not who I am,
I'm not me.

Don't you love me?
So why are you trying to change me?

You say I'm perfect just as I am.
Then you tell me to do better next time.

If I need to do better,
I'm not good enough for you.

Make up your mind!
Am I perfect? or a failure?

Decide, I beg of you!
Who do you want me to be?

I can be me, or I can be your perfect little puppet.
But I can't be both.

So go ahead.
Make your choice.
