Declaring New Enemies Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Declaring New Enemies

He types the words upon the screen,
A message sharp and cold and keen.
'If you say AI, you are wrong,
You do not belong where we belong.'

He claims the name is now a lie,
A phrase that he must testify.
If you don't say 'super, ' stay away,
You are the foe he fights today.

To find an enemy is light,
To pick a war and start a fight.
The White House sits and draws a line,
To crush the words that don't align.

The list of villains starts to grow,
With every friend he turns to foe.
One simple term is all it takes,
To fuel the fires that he makes.
