Deep conscience
Shallows to beaching
Large brained mammals
Near Magdala by the lakes
City El was life
Above the bar
Footsteps down braved
Tenuous paths to Streets
Safe to meet at shops
Restful services a treat
Fin for home above wakes

Raised life to a
Lifted halfway house
Hills of gentry use to climb
To a library of change
Embrace of silence
Inside walls that shut out
Hoots of Freedmen to
Awaken sleep faithfully
Romancing visions and
Dreams alone, took
Conscience deep and strange.
