Deeper Love Poem by James Lewis

Deeper Love

If only you could fly inside my heart you'd see the dove, emotions pure and white I've never swam in deeper love,

I tread it's soothing waters standing up or on my back, it feels so good that simply put, I'm never going back,

to dry land better known as little pigeons as they flock, the skeezers and the skally-wags that skip-skop up the block,

the ones with dirty feet I peep you know ya boy aint beat, it's you I'd rather wake up with as well as fall asleep.

I love it when your little hands caress my neck and back, I'd never sully that for belly smacks with naked rats,

the hood ones set the trap but see my cheese do stand alone, your heart is where I'm home come sit beside me by my throne.

We'll rule our little kingdom yes together side by side, no worries of the tide amidst a deeper love we dive,

The lifeguard's not on duty, I won't let that get that get me down, without you I am dead so in your love just let me drown.
