Deja Vu Poem by Levi Hopler

Deja Vu

Rating: 3.0

I heard your name uttered
from one passerby
to another
in the thick swell of some maelstrom
And so I saw your sweet, loving face
or
so I'd myself to begin to think
Just a moment
before
(!)
my mirage vanished
my hopes of reconciliation tarnished
This insanity is so common, I expect
If I e'er did see you
I'd ne'er suspect
