Deliverance Poem by Nazand Begikhani

Deliverance

My body is quiet as a fall of snow
my spirit, a stream

I remember those who passed by here once
crossed the line of light in the sky
and never came back again
I remember them and meditate on the grandeur of the sun
I remember them and listen to the wonder of the breeze
I remember them and touch the silence of the stone
I remember them and I can see my pain turn into a ball of cotton
blown away on the wind
