Delusion... Poem by Samira Askari

Delusion...

To love myself is to love him now,
For he is the one who changed the rythm of my heart,
And raised my esteem which had been so shallow,
My Messiah, My love, My sweetheart...
The inner voice in me whispers,
The silence in me speaks,
My heart demands no more triggers
And in this solitude his shadow creeps,
All by my side, awakening me to reality
Cascades of dreams have me enchanted,
And I am overwhelmed with their sensuality
Felt in the veins and nerves freely intoxicated.
It sometimes feels like we have been together for ages,
But never complete,
Can we free ourselves from our cages,
Of ideas arachaic and notions obselete
To accomplish our togetherness,
Strengthening the kinship,
To the zeniths of blessedness,
Like there was no other relationship...
