Once upon a time, a long, long time ago
All and I were green, new.
A dark cloud floated into my sky, turned everything black and blue
Hid my head beneath the covers
So terrified of you.
20 years dark, dangerous was my norm.Shut out the world, shelter in from the storm.
You stole my innocence, my yourh.
No longer blind, today my eyes see the lies from the truth.
Taking time to explain as I mop the blood up;
You could have been a better man, Instead?
Rotten to the core.
Made your favorite tea, did you enjoy it's sweet, sweet taste?
I couldn't tell, you looked like Hel,
Sweat running down your face.
Your eyes, now faded red and dull.
Orbs of a dead cow. No Bull.
Your cigarettes hang out your pocket,
How funny
I grab 1, puff, puff,
A perverse halo parody in halogen
Laugh Out Loud.
How absurd you appear, just a bad joke.
Nothing to fear. Nothing to fear here. Hear? Hear? !
This? It's the vanilla oil my sister gave me, with the rose lamp you broke, because I'd burn the house down.
Shards cut me jagged and deep.
You were right dear.
My soul is scarred.
It still burns.
Flames warm my face, air scented, vanilla,
Something more, something rotten,
Something vile, putrified, diseased.
Something now impotent, neutered,
Irrelevant,
Dead.
