Self awareness is the best therapy especially when there is someone who cares to listen and does.
Your perception of what depression is hits the mark right on. A friend - perhaps an acquaintance, suffers when she does take her meds, and I cannot empathize - I can only sympathize. I don't want to feel depression, but I do want to help those who do in any way I can, even if it means holding her and sdaying that I care.
