Deserving Of Honour Poem by Felix Emeka George

A soldier,
strong and brave
like six lions.
Stakes his life,
to keep others free.

Soldiers deserve
honour, celebration.
Fallen heroes
deserve immortality,
Songs and monuments.

A being who fiercely
faces death,
conquering or conquered
continues in battle,
to maintain a proper society.
In duty, choosing to die
to keep others secure.

Today there is relative peace and harmony
Celebration is going on downtown,
But he stands at the borders,
parading the length and breadth of the country.
Everyday a soldier's life is at risk.
