Desire: Poem by W.I. Stoneberger

Desire:

Rating: 5.0

to be the moon
withdrawing
into itself
waning
toward the invisible

feeding on its own soul
bit by bit
chewing away the fat
paring down to pure nothingness

then slowly
beginning again
filling
fleshing out
toward absolute fulfillment.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Fabulous imagery. To become nothing and work towards everything with wonderful carefully placed words. 10 Karin Anderson
