Desire Poem by Samantha Yeo

Desire

It’s dark and cold,
It sends shivers to my bone,
The sight of the fire,
Brings power to my ire.

Bringing down the flames,
Inextinguishable flames,
And burn down the houses,
That shelters my regrets.

No more fear,
No more sorrows,
Now I stand,
In front of people’s shadows.

I shall not retreat.
I shall continue to advance.
Conquer and control,
All of my desires.
