Desire Poem by Aliya Shelton

Desire

Rating: 5.0

I.
You are now at peace
'Tis dark and in grief
Tired and in disbelief
The night looking like coal
Growing rapidly cold
In a state you cannot withhold
The stars glowing like gold
II.
The heart of your lovers turned to stone
Yet your love will never turn cold
"Shall we talk of the stars" they told
Covered in roses their petals they hold
Growing old
III.
Never parting
Like a hearts stinging
One's soul is not beating
Never not touching
IV.
Their souls collide
'Tis an end they decide
They cried and they cried
Their eyes began to widen
Tears dried
Washing away like a tide
