Desire Poem by Biloa Zoa Becky Bernadette

Desire

They say when you get a taste of something
It lingers in your mind
Like an addict
Craving a whimp of pleasure
You seek it out again and again
Each day u tell yourself
This be my last
But with each day
The urge rises, relentless
And the will to stop is surpassed
All logical reasoning forgotten
And thus a pattern
Seeming impossible to break
So is Desire
Unyielding, Persistent
A fire you chase
Even when you know the Burn
