Desired Poem by Ragy Sandid

Desired

In every family
There comes a time
When everyone is under fire
Everyone happily
Lives a life of lies
Covered by the truth of desire

There are colors that merge
To produce a better color
And with that comes a flower
Then the colors diverge
When everyone claims power
Over the newly discovered hour

The beautiful comes from the plain
Everyone claims sweet benefits of blame
To convince another no part played
Then the flowers go after the sun's lane
In families, some suns shine and proclaim
Love in light and spread the rays in a parade

But others are clouds to make sure of rain
Provide dimness, darkness, lighting and thunder
So the flowers twist with the search for the light
And though some feed the roots with pain
And think it kindness like a patient going under
Believing that through spite, survivors will rise with might

So flowers becomes trees or other organic shapes
That belong to a mix of future, present and past
The more they grow, the more they believe or disbelieve
That to be this or that they were a capsule in a cape
That was meant to be as it is was and meant to last
From desire to destiny, the new one is here to leave.
