Desires Poem by Muqaddas Abid

Desires

Trillions of desires reside in a single Heart
Till the last breath, stacking from the start
Finding them in my dreams and the shooting stars
Controlling some of them and others falling apart

O My Heart! Falling apart, wanting them to be fulfilled
O My Heart! Beating fast, waiting for them to be fulfilled

Surrounded by my wishes and aims I'm feeling alone
Though hiding the feelings, my tears are shown
Feeling I'm standing dead and my soul is gone
Dispersing my heart like bubbles being blown

O My Heart! Falling apart, wanting them to be fulfilled
O My Heart! Beating fast, waiting for them to be fulfilled

Despair prevailed, I can't see my way O My lord!
My path's dark, needs a light, guide me O My Lord!
I'm losing hope, giving up, hold me O, My lord!
All are gone, leaving alone Stay with me O My Lord!

Oh, my Creation! follow my light, leave alone your desires
Desires are wild, they lead you just to the land of fires
