Desolate Poem by Richard Hervey

Desolate

Shaking hands and jagged breathing staring at the stains
Stains on my eyes of the truth I refuse to believe but can’t deny
The Very thing that could never be now so vivid and real
That time itself has stopped to watch how the next moments unpeel
My heart suddenly a blank desolate field
And my soul shaken the core
My mind has suddenly gone blind and all I can think is what my eyes see.
Air flees and gravity ceases, is this earth or have I been teleported to Venus? !
The impossible made real
The nightmares come true
The world suddenly so lonely
I can’t help but think I will always miss you
