Desperate - Poem by Courtney Welden

Sitting here with a knife in one hand
ANd a rope in the other
Desperate for this life to end
Wanting it to end soon

Deciding to take the knife to my wrists
I slice across until I bleed
Desperate for this life to end
Wanting it to end soon

I sit there until I bleed all over
Desperate for this life to end
Wanting it to end soon
The next thing I realize it that

I am in a hospital
Desperate for this life to end
Wanting it to end soon
I take the wires by my bed

And strangle myself
Desperate for this life to end
Wanting it to end soon
