Desperation Isolation Poem by Liam Palomar

Desperation Isolation

Stuck in one place like an artifact in a glass box
It's like the world around me continues to shift
While I remain frozen in time
Everyone around me lives on as mine is still on pause, unable to press 'play'

No wonder why everyone moves so fast
I'm just way more sluggish than them
Slow to keep up and therefore...

left all alone

And even if I did keep up, I'll eventually have to stop and take a breather
I still can't understand how they do this

It's the consequence of staying in your sanctuary
Inside your stasis chamber, remaining the same
While time moved on without you
And left behind

until you rot and decay into a husk forever untouched
