Destiny Poem by Daniel Trevelyn Joseph

Destiny

Choice involves freedom, however limited
Gives one an alternative or more,
Choice being dependent on.
Price, comfort, or familiarity

Can go to this movie or that
Read this newspaper or another
In 70s in Gadhinglaj with one talkies,
My wife and I had no choice.

Looking at it now, I see choices everywhere;
Life is doing one thing rather than another.
Thus it is a mix of both, no choice
In autonomous system, plenty in others.

What then is so great about ‘choice’?
There was none for my birth or parents,
Nor would be for death, except type of it
Like suicide or rash driving etc
