Detective Story Poem by William B. Deutscher

Detective Story

Rating: 3.0

The butler tidies up the study,
moonlight on the wall,
the gardener digs a grave out back,
the clock ticks down the hall.
The detective has his nightcap,
mulling all the clues,
The French maid's bending over, ready to shout 'J'accuse! '
Gather all the suspects,
release your findings now,
issue a statement:
Case unsolved anyhow.
