Dethronement Poem by Erica Hemenway

Dethronement

Rating: 5.0

It's back,
so long an absence,
but to leave me hopeful.
A passionate pause, full of brightness.
The loom has taken hold
Yet again, not even a face.
Gone from the world and all its thoughts.
Alone.
Watching what used to be mine.
Dethronement at its finest.
Misery lingering,
loneliness confining.
Falling back into the space.
The fathomless nothing.
Soon to be permanent residence.
Everything has been taken.
What is left?
