Devastation Poem by Chloe Holden

Devastation

The deaf man hears,
The blind girl sees,
And the human race can feel.
We could be described as birds in a cage,
Locked up,
Looking for a way out,
Waiting for the day freedom will come,
It may never come,
As every day we are beaten,
Beaten down by society,
Beaten by some other wing,
Not only are we trapped,
We are all victims,
Victims of each other,
Victims of ourselves,
And we are victims of this dreadful world.
