Devious Silence. Poem by John Kipling Lewis

Devious Silence.

Rating: 3.6

devious silence,
i wish to know you.
hold me firmly in your arms
and make the pain retreat.
a discontinuation, lacking anticipation.
my implicit promise falls
and i am at my final rest.

2. Cliched. Lines 2-4, in particular, have been repeated almost verbatim in countless poems, pop lyrics, etc. A subject as thoroughly written about as love needs to be treated with 100% originality and striking detail. This isn't it.
