Amidst the dusty paths of this mortal world,
I vow to keep my mind pure and my heart sincere.
Ksitigarbha's vow runs deep; He never retreats,
Saving the suffering from the darkness of delusion.
Though hell may stretch for countless leagues,
He acts with compassion, unhesitating and steadfast.
Out of love for beings still lost in the mire,
His great vow shines with brilliant radiance.
"Until hell is emptied, I shall not attain Buddhahood"—
A heart as vast and boundless as the azure sky.
May merit sown plant the seeds of goodness,
Guiding all souls toward the path of virtue.
Homage to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva,
May You light the way through the long, dark night.
Bringing peace to the mind and easing life's sorrows,
Inspiring all to live with compassion.
