Did You Listen Poem by AMANDA Le Roux

Did You Listen

Were you listening
When I sang you a love song
how I belong
to One man only
Did you listen
Were you listening
when I cried out your name
when waking up
from a dream to blame
Did you stay up
Were you listening when
I let you in on a secret
My deepest fear
was losing you my dear
did you hear
Were you listening
when I told you
how much I missed you
when you were not near
Did you hear
Were you listening
to my cries of despair
at the empty cradle
never a baby to bear
did you hear
Did you listen
when I could not sleep
and took a double doses
to take me away
did you hear
So why do you weep
as I now forever sleep
in a better place
No more words to face
Do you listen
